Southampton’s cracking Easter trail returns to the city centre this week as the Easter Bunny seeks help to gather everything he needs for a tea party.
Visitors to Southampton’s Old Town from Saturday 28 March – Sunday 12 April can follow a free trail map to find colourful posters displayed in shop windows, cafés, bars and other venues, revealing items the Easter Bunny needs to make his tea party a success.
Organised by the city’s Business Improvement District (BID) GO! Southampton, the much-loved trail invites visitors to explore the city centre and try something new from businesses taking part – some of which include are Rosemary Café, The Grapes, George’s Restaurant and The White Star Tavern.

The trail also passes by some of the city’s fantastic highlights including the Tudor House and Gardens, God’s House Tower, Holyrood Church and the old Wool House (Dancing Man Brewery).
Once all items have been found, Easter Bunny helpers can hop to the final stop at HMV, where children will receive a small prize for their hard work. Participants who complete the feedback section on their trail map will also be entered into a prize draw to win tickets ticks to Southampton Summer Sessions. This year’s lineup includes Pete Tong, Amy McDonald, The Beach Boys and Billy Ocean.
Bridget Vyze General Manager of The White Star Tavern said: “We are so egg-cited to be part of the Old Town Easter Trail and look forward to welcoming families into the restaurant should they want to stop for a hot drink or bite to eat whilst they are out exploring. Fun and free activities like these really help drive footfall into Oxford Street and other areas of the city centre, which is critical for businesses, now more than ever.”
Stephen Manion, Executive Director of GO! Southampton, said: “We’re all set and ready to go for this year’s Easter Trail. It’s a great opportunity for visitors to see more of our wonderful city and perhaps find something new along the way.”
