GO! Southampton was seeing stars last week as the first ever SO! Star Awards took place in the city.
The brand-new awards scheme aims to recognise the shining lights from Southampton’s tourism, business and retail scene. And, as a champion of business in the city centre, GO! Southampton was right in the middle of the action as event partner and title sponsor.
Annaliese Hughes, Vice Chair of GO! Southampton, said: “The SO Awards attracted sponsors, partners and entries who all understand the hard work and dedication needed to maintain and develop Southampton as an exciting destination. Many are well-known in the local community; people with great connections who interact and trade with other like-minded businesses.”
Jackie Phillipson, curator of the Star Awards, added: “We are delighted with the high calibre of entries for the first SO Star Awards.
