On March 5th, Get Connected at Metro Bank, Southampton, will be celebrating International Women’s Day 2025.

Get Connected is a monthly business networking event hosted by outsourcing agency Get Ahead in partnership with Metro Bank. Launched in February 2024, it has quickly become a popular, free event, providing a relaxed and welcoming space for local businesses to connect. Unlike traditional networking groups, there are no industry restrictions, no referral requirements, and no formal pitches—just an opportunity to meet and build relationships.

To mark International Women’s Day, March’s event will feature a special guest speaker, Samantha Acton, founder of Domestic Angels – a trusted household cleaning service that has grown into a regional network. Samantha is passionate about community-focused businesses and plays an active role in Savvitas, a House of Commons-based thought leadership group for women’s leadership and entrepreneurship. With the IWD 2025 theme of ‘Accelerate Action,’ Samantha’s insights into empowering women through local business will make for an inspiring session.
