Hospitality businesses are facing considerable challenges. This action-focused meeting has been called for a collective response.

This group will co-produce a formal letter to local MPs, signed by Southampton hospitality businesses. The letter will outline the urgent pressures facing the sector and, importantly, set out the changes required to support the industry now. To accomplish this, the group will agree a shared position across the sector. It will also establish the next steps beyond the meeting.

This group will be chaired by Spencer Bowman, owner of Mettricks, who will present this as the representative of GO! Southampton BID. “Hospitality is a vital part of Southampton’s economy and identity, but many businesses are at breaking point.
