As the Easter holidays approach, families in Southampton are gearing up for an egg-citing adventure in the heart of the city's historic Old Town.

The free family trail organised by the city’s Business Improvement District (BID), GO! Southampton and hosted on the Visit Southampton website, is offering locals and visitors the chance to take part in the trail  from Thursday 28th of March and running until Sunday, 14th of April.

The Easter Bunny has been hard at work crafting an ‘eggs’ellent trail that’s fun for all ages. Participants will follow the specially designed Visit Southampton map, which acts as a guide through the streets and iconic landmarks of the Old Town.

Along the way, adventurers will uncover several Easter eggs cleverly hidden at eleven designated trail stops. But that’s not all – the trail also features three landmark stops where explorers can engage in entertaining trivia questions, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience.

Each of the eggs hidden throughout the Old Town feature a unique number of bunnies nestled within their colourful designs. Families are encouraged to keep track of the bunnies they spot by jotting down the corresponding numbers on their maps. Once the journey is complete, participants can head to the final destination – The Star Hotel – where children will be rewarded for their efforts with a small prize. But the excitement doesn’t end there; participants over18 will have the chance to enter a prize draw for a coveted £100 Waterstones gift voucher.

The free family walking trail will be available for exploration from Thursday, March 28th to Sunday, April 14th, between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm. To ensure ease of participation, all clue hosts will prominently display their A4 posters in windows, guiding trail-goers along the route.

For those eager to join in on the Easter fun, detailed information on how to participate, download maps, and access additional resources can be found online at Southampton’s Old Town Easter Trail | Visit Southampton.
