John Lewis – Southampton Volunteers
The Welcome Volunteer Programme launched in 2024 to welcome cruise passengers in Southampton. Thanks to our amazing volunteers, the programme has been a great success, helping visitors enjoy the best of the city. In their first year, the volunteers have been nominated for a Visit England Tourism Award.
The programme is now expanding to Southampton Central railway station. By joining our volunteer team, you can help more visitors and local people discover what makes Southampton special. Our warm welcome will be personalised to suit each visitor’s needs.
If you are passionate about Southampton and like helping people, then give back to your community by positively adding to the welcome to the city. No prior knowledge needed, as full training will be provided. See below for more information.
