Do you have administration experience and an interest in investigations?

Our contact management department is looking for Triage Hub Operatives to join their very busy and important team.  In this role, you will put your investigation skills to the test and dive right into incident reports to discover the best course of action that needs to be taken in each case.

Job Purpose

Your duties on any day may include:

  • Reviewing incidents using the THRIVE risk assessment tool, and contacting individuals that have been involved to find out more information.
  • Establishing further lines of enquiry for incidents and allocating to the appropriate teams across the force, or closing down the record if no further action needed
  • Risk assessing incidents and sending them back to the Police Control Room if determined that an officer needs to attend
  • Talking to victims to establishing how their needs can be best met

In addition to your core role, you may have the opportunity to become a support function to our Contact Management Centre officers by completing single online home reports and switchboard cover, providing a much needed relief on the 101 service.

Do you like talking to people and have good IT skills? Then this could be the role for you!

In this role, you will be using a wide range of IT systems to accurately record data and sift through huge amounts of information quickly to find what you need; your attention to detail will be key to your success.

You will be dealing with a variety of incidents, some of them quite challenging, so no shift will be the same, but the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately is essential.
