Diners in Southampton are in for a treat later this month as Foodie Fortnight returns to the city.
The annual event sees restaurants across the city centre put forward special offers so people can try new places for less. All of the deals are priced at just £10 or £15, meaning you can get more bangers for your buck (or more calzone for your cash).
This year Foodie Fortnight runs from September 23 to October 6. Among the venues already signed up to take part are:
- Grand Café
- Banana Wharf
- Tapas Barcelona
- London Road Brewhouse
- Mango Thai Tapas
- Dolphin Hotel
- Neds Noodle Bar
- Bella Italia Above Bar
- The Art House
- Grumpy Monkey
- Belgium and Blues
To get hold of the deals, all diners need to do is visit www.foodiefortnight.com, pick the deal they want and download the voucher. There’s no limit to the number of deals people can take advantage of, so it’s quite possible to dine your way around Southampton throughout Foodie Fortnight by making use of all the deals.
Giles Semper, Executive Director of GO! Southampton, which organises the event, said: “We are lucky to have so many fantastic restaurants in the city. To help people explore them and try new places we’re making it even more affordable. Foodie Fortnight is a fantastic way to do that and we hope people will take advantage of the brilliant deals on offer.”
Steve Hughes, managing director of Delicious Dining, which runs several restaurants and bars in the city, said: “We’re delighted that Foodie Fortnight has returned for a second year. It’s another example of the city’s Business Improvement District taking real action to support businesses in the city centre.”
