Connected Southampton 2040 is Southampton City Council’s draft transport strategy for the city. This draft strategy, which is out to public consultation until Tuesday 16 October, sets out a long-term vision for improving the transport network in Southampton over the next twenty years.
The Council has big ideas for improving how people travel, from the introduction of Active Travel Zones and Park & Ride to the creation of a Southampton Mass Transit System.
GO! Southampton would like to invite you to a Connected Southampton 2040 transport briefing on Thursday 27th September from 8.30am-10am at Southampton City Art Gallery. Refreshments will be provided from 8am.
Chaired by Mark Miller and Nick Farthing, you will have a chance to hear from Southampton City Council and will participate in discussions surrounding issues such as creating a livable city centre, supporting growth and working towards a zero-emission city.
You will also have an opportunity to meet the Travel Plan Network team from the council; who can support you in developing a plan to support your workforce to access the city centre.
The BID team will collate the feedback from this event and submit a response on behalf of the levy payers. Please RSVP by 5pm on 24th September to firstname.lastname@example.org.
