Go! Southampton is committed to ensuring that all levy payers benefit from the work undertaken by the BID team. Full details of our plans for the first year can be found in the Year 1 Business Plan.
As deals are negotiated and initiatives begun, more Member Benefit details will be published on this page and information sent to levy payers. Here are some of the ways in which you can start to benefit already:
Apprenticeship Information Event with Free 2-course Lunch, Friday 9th February, 12:00-14:30
Whether you’re a retailer, a café, a hair salon or a law firm, apprenticeships can offer your business a wealth of opportunities and benefits. To help our levy payers understand more, GO! Southampton has teamed up with City College to put on a free lunch time workshop. For more details and to reserve your place please click here.
Social Media Promotion
Some members will already have had a visit from Matt who is collecting content to promote BID businesses on social media channels. Even if you have a large following on your own social media pages, this promotion will get out to new audiences and is free for levy payers, so give it a go. The information collected will eventually also be organised into an online directory.

Group Procurement Scheme to Save BID Members Money
We want Southampton to be a place where town centre businesses come, stay and prosper. In order to achieve this we are introducing a Joint Procurement Scheme which uses collective buying power. With ever increasing costs and squeezed margins we understand businesses find themselves under increasing pressure.
This is why we have set up a partnership with Meercat Associates to create the Go Southampton BID Joint Procurement Scheme which aims to deliver financial benefits directly to you. This scheme is paid for and managed by Go Southampton BID, free to BID members, and can save you time and money. Meercat Associates are specialists in sourcing and managing contracts for individual businesses and has a track record of partnership working with BIDs across the country. Meercat Associates manage the whole process on your behalf, including finding the most appropriate service, securing the best deal and managing all your contracts and future renewals, ensuring you are always on the best rates.

Go! Southampton will send out a regular eNewsletter (which initially, will also be available in print), letting levy payers know what work is underway and what has been achieved. The eNews will also contain useful information from other organisations such as the City Council, Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and Hampshire Constabulary, as well as details of special offers and competitions.
A small number of ad-hoc emails will also be sent out when information is received by the BID team which is deemed to be of potential interest to members.
